Changing Value Offers Are Better Suited to Middle-Age Demo than 65+


  • QSR value offers have been dialed back, with an increased concentration in $5 bundle deals

  • Conversely, FSR value deals have been stepped-up with an increasing concentration in lower priced offers which are just slightly more expensive than the QSR deals.

  • In turn, we see the 65+ demo indicating a sharp decline in their Intent to Eat Out which reflects less low-priced, single serving options that work well for those relying on a fixed retirement income.
  • Conversely, lower priced bundle deals and affordable FSR options seem to appeal to the middle-aged 35-44 demo with families.  

  • In any case, our most recent TraffiCast Survey continues to reveal an ongoing negative bias in Intent to Eat Out - suggesting that value should remain front-and-center for the time being.
